Flood warnings

The Met Office has issued flood warnings for all of the Âé¶¹¹ú²ú area, with river levels still rising. Rain is expected later today and over the next few days. Road flooding is expected. Residents may experience inundation of septic tanks and sewer systems, with flooding in cellars in affected areas. Please be aware, be safe and leave more time for your journeys.

Âé¶¹¹ú²ú District Hospital invites community for behind-the-scenes look

Âé¶¹¹ú²ú District Hospital is once again inviting the community to immerse themselves in what life at the hospital is all about. Visitors will discover more about the workings of their local hospital with a variety of demonstrations, activities and displays across a wide range of departments. Last year this included the popular toy hospital, hi-tech lifelike simulation manikins and the ‘fracture clinic’ in which children got plaster casts on their arms. The Hospital Open Day will run from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 16th May.

New Urgent Treatment Centre to Open at Âé¶¹¹ú²ú District Hospital

A new Urgent Treatment Centre is set to open at our Hospital, bringing improved access to same-day care for patients with urgent but non-life-threatening conditions. Supported by significant NHS investment, the centre will help ensure patients are seen in the right place, by the right team, at the right time.
