Our hospital continues to be very busy. We are experiencing extremely high demand. To help us care for those who need us most, we are asking that only patients with emergency or life-threatening conditions attend our Accident & Emergency Department. If your condition is not urgent, please consider an alternative healthcare service, such as your GP, local pharmacy, the Minor Injuries Unit in Andover, NHS111, and out of hours, Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Walk In Centre.

Response to the publication of the final report into the death of Dawn Sturgess

Âé¶¹¹ú²ú NHS Foundation Trust response to the publication of the final report into the death of Dawn Sturgess: Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Dawn Sturgess, and all those impacted by the tragic events of 2018.  We recognise all those affected by the Novichok incident, and the lasting impact such an event has had on victims, their loved ones and the community of Âé¶¹¹ú²ú. We welcome the findings of the report and are committed to learning from its conclusions and how we can continue to strengthen our response to rare and complex incidents. Continuously learning is essential to ensuring public safety and improving resilience in the future. We will carefully review the recommendations, and remain open and willing to engage with partners, experts and the community as we do so.

Temporary Face Mask Recommendation in Admission Areas

We are currently seeing an increase in flu and other respiratory illnesses in our community. To help reduce the spread of infection and keep everyone safe, we are recommending that all staff, patients and visitors wear a face mask or face covering in our admission areas, including our Emergency Department, Acute Medical Unit, Âé¶¹¹ú²ú’s Emergency & Assessment Areas, Surgical Assessment Unit and Maternity Assessment Area.
