Request Summary: Community Tracheostomy and Laryngectomy figures
Request Category: Researcher
| Question Number 1: I am researching a project around tracheostomy and laryngectomy education. I am hoping to understand how many people are living in the community with these needs. Please could you treat this as a Freedom of Information request and provide the most recent figures held by your trust for: 鈥 People living in the community with a tracheostomy in place. 鈥 People living in the community following a laryngectomy, with a permanent stoma. By community, I mean people living at home or in residential or nursing care, rather than hospital inpatients. I am looking for the number of people currently living with these conditions, rather than the number of procedures performed during a year. If available, please separate the figures into adults and children. Please count individuals rather than appointments or episodes of care. It would also be helpful to know: 鈥 The date the figures relate to. 鈥 The geographical area they cover. 鈥 Whether they include everyone in that area or only people known to your trust鈥檚 services. I am requesting anonymous totals only, with no patient-identifiable information. If your trust does not hold this information, any guidance on which organisation or service may hold it would be appreciated. | |
| Answer To Question 1: This is not information 麻豆国产 NHS Foundation Trust would hold as it is community based. | |
